Good afternoon family! Well I guess everyone is getting ready for the BYU Utah game right now. I hope it is going well for the Utes. Well its good to hear from all of you this week. It really has been a crazy week with lots of traveling but it sure has been a lot of fun. We started our trip on Satruday night and didn’t get home till late thursday night. It was fun. We has a lot of fun in Barioloche where the president took us to see the Llao Llao hotel which is super nice. It was also fun just too see all the scenery of Bariloche. It really convinced me that Bariloche is a can’t miss place to visit if we come back to argentina. Also when we made the trip from Bariloche to San Martin de los Andes we took the 7 lakes route which is just amazing. We passed through Villa la Angostura which we are hoping to open this coming transfer and boy that is seriously the prettiest place ever. I would love to be the missionary that opens that little town. But the trip was going great until the last day when we were traveling home from Zapala. I´ll tell you the story. So here in Argentina at all the gas stations there are people that fill up your gas. So one of the guys I guess messed up and put gas in the hilux and not diesel. So we got about 30 Km outside of Zapala and the car broke down. So we had to wait 3 hours until elder Ehmke could come out and meet us. We got a tow truck and it hauled the hilux to Neuquen but we didn´t get home tilll 12:30 that night and then we had to wake up bright and early to go to Roca yesterday so it has been a tiring week and this morning my body just kind of gave up and i was just really suffed up with a huge head ache and with a cough. So today Elder Wagstaff had to do all the training by himself because Hermana Ehmke said that I needed to stay home to get some rest. Hopefully tomorrow I will be a little better and also for Monday and Tuesday for our last two training meetings.

So on Satruday the Baptism was great. There was a lot of support from the ward. The youth and the primary prepared a musical number so that was great and there was a good showing from the ward. The Ehmke’s have also helped a ton with the familia Rios, having family home eveing with them and checking up on them while we have been gone. It sure was great to see the kids get baptized and also Hermana Rios was also very happy. Its amazing how much she has changed over the course of the last few months. It is something that I am really great for for to be a part of.

Well I hope you all have a wonderfull week. I love you all!

Hello everyone! Thank you all for the great letters this week! It was great to hear from all of you. So this week has been a pretty fun one. A little more tranquilo than usual because president wasn´t here during the week. So it was nice to focus a little more on the area and especailly the baptism we have today! Lourdes and Francisco will be baptized today at 7. Elder Wagstaff is baptising Francisco and I will baptize Lourdes. It was be a pretty great service and we are super excited for that. Its been amazing to see how much the lord has prepared this family. The hermana before was not very interested in the church and always thought that the church just brought more problems in her life. But she has totally changed and you can see the difference in her. She starts baring her testimony when we go there and it really just an awesome experience. We are really excited for the baptism tonight.

So while we were really focusing on that we also had a lot of little busy things that we had to do. We received another missionary this week that we had to go and pick up and also we had to go and make a trip out to Allen to bring some crutches to and elder over there. Its just some little things that we always have to do as AP that just seem to get in the way of a lot of things. But its all really fun.

So this week we will be going on the gira as they call it here on the mission were we go and visit all the zone. The president is going to be doing the interviews and we will be doing some capacitations during that. We will be talking about all the new key indicators and how to help plan to have the help of the members. We are calling them war plans and we are using a lot of the scirptures fromt he war chapters about how they planned their attacks and came out victorious. It will be really fun and also a last time to see all the missionaries in the mission. So we are pretty excited about that. We are leaving tonight on a bus going to esquel but we will be stopping in Bariloche to go to chuch tomorrow so that will be fun.

So everything here is going great. Tell Jordyn and the rest of the family that I say hi and I will be sure to include them in my prayers. I´m really having a great time and just enjoying the time. I love you all! Thank you for everything!

Well hello everyone. Its fun to write you today from my new area. I would think that you will all be excided to hear about where i am. Well today I am writing you from the comfotable mission office because I have been assigned to be the next assistant to the president. Yeah pretty crazy no? I was really surprised and its going to be a really cool experience.

Well this week we were able to have the baptism of Sabrina. It was a really special baptismal service. All of the Barraza family was there and also Sabrina´s parents came and they really liked the service. We showed a video that showed the testimonies of all the apostles and he told us that he really believe that all the things they were saying were true. So we set up an appointment to go by this week.

We were also able to make a lot of progress with another parrt member family. Brenda is a less acitve member who says she really wants to return to church. She is living with her boyfriend Sergio. He accepted a fecha for the 17 of agust and they are both really excited to start changing their lives and go to church.

So yeah its going to be a pretty crazy experience being assistant but I am pretty excited to be with Elder Wagstaff again. We will also be in a trio with Elder Zimbleman for a week and a half so that will be fun as well.

Sorry but I forgot my camera in the house. I love you all and I promise pictures next week. I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!

Well today was a pretty crazy week but with lots of really cool things that happened.

So I will start with Sergio. He was baptized on Satruday! It was pretty sick. He really loves the gospel. We had to teach him everything in one week and he accepted everything. He stopped smoking and committed to live everything. Such a capo! Yesterday the Venegas family invited him to eat lunch with him and we asked him if he would share the scripture. And he shared the sickest scripture in 2 Nefi 25:29. Man he shared that scripture like he was a member all his life. It was such an awesome feeling. We surely are blessed to have been able to find him and baptize him.

This week we were also able to do divisions with some other elders here in Zapala. I went to the other area and when I got back, my comp told me that they started teaching Luciano´s sister in law who is not a member. We went by again and she is awesome and already has a testimony of the church. She now has a fecha for the 20 of july so that will be super awesome.

This week was also a fun opportunity to do divisions with Elder Kimball in Cutral Co. It was fun to be companions again. Just like in the good old days in the MTC. We had a lot of fun and we had a lot of success as well. He is opening the area and we were able to find some new investigators for them.

I´m sorry that this letter is a little short and summed up but my time is running out. I love you all so much and I hope you have a wonderfull week!

Well we sure had a pretty good week. We saw a lot of cool things happen in the area and a couple of miricles also.

So this week Luciano got baptized. It was a pretty sweet service because the family is so big so there were a lot of people there which was really sweet. Lucianos dad baptized him which was a sweet thing to see. The family was inactive for about 10 years now and now the are back and strong again. It was a really sweet moment for the family. Yesterday he was confirmed by his brother in law which was also really cool to see. I hope this family will continue progressing and enduring to the end.

We also made a ton of progress with our investiagator Omar. We went and saw him friday night and was had a good chat with him and invited him to the bapismal service. He came and had a really good experience. After the service we had a lesson with him in the church with the bishop. It was just a really awesome lesson and the spirit was super strong. He told us that he loves it when we come by because he just feels so much better when we talk to him. He is really lonely and has a lot of pain in his life and he says when we teach him it goes all away. We comitted him to go to church and he came. He made a really big sacrifice as well. He works all night from 11 to 8 in the morning. He was really tired but he made it through church and had a great time. I´m not sure if I have seen an investigator progress as much as he did in a week so that was awesome. Hopefully we can help him continue to progress for his feca on the 6 of july.

Well things sure are going really well in the area and also in the zone so everything is just going awesome right now. This week we are going to San Martin and we also have interviews with the president so it should be another good one. I love you all and hope you have a wonderfull week!

Well it sure was nice seeing you all the other day. But i guess that means I don´t have too much more to say in the letter. So unfortunately yesterday I was not able to see Yanet get confirmed. The reason: on saturday night I was struck again with food poisening. Yeah I was not a great experience so yesterday I just spent the day in the bed and we didn´t go to church. But we called Nestor and Yanet and she did get comfirmed so today we will go by and congradulate them and start teaching the lessons of retension.

We are really excited with the familia Rodriguez because the accepted a fecha for the 6 of june. The mom was a little hesitant but Micaela told us that she has been wanting to get baptized for about two years now so thats awesome. Hopefully we can help them reach that goal.

I love you all and hope you have a wonderfull week!

Well it was another crazy week and I guess i´m getting right into my role as zone leader. This week we had the opportunity to participate in the zone leaders council. To be honest it was kind of boring. It was super hot and humid in Neuquen as well. We were all dying in the chapel. But there was some pretty sweet things that President Lovell shared with us and things that will really help me and give me some more animo and really understand why I am here. Also lunch was really good. Some chicken that was made american style with like cajun spices type deal (I don´t really know how else to explain it) and some mashed potatoes. It was a nice piece of home. It was also fun to see Elder Kimball who I haven´t seen for about a year so that was fun to catch up and share some experiences and everything.

So with the zone leader council came my first capacitación (do I say training? but that doesn´t sound right). Clearly spanish is ruining my english. But you know I was thinking yeah it will go well and everything like that but it was a little rocky. I wasn´t really sure how to do it. Its difficult to teach and do all the pracitces in just 2 and a half hours. But the missionaries said it was good. But it was deffinitly a time to learn from mistakes haha. The next one will be a lot better when we go to San Martin tomorrow. I guess sometimes you just have to learn things by making mistakes at first.

So anyway this week we had a baptism! Oriana was baptized this past saturday and it was a pretty memorable service. So it was a pretty cloudy day all day on saturday and we were hoping the rain would hold off until after the baptismal service. So we went outside and took some pictures and everything and right when we got inside there were some huge lightning strike and really loud thunder and it cut the power. It started raining soooo hard. Without the microphone it was hard to hear the speakers with all the rain falling on the roof of the church. So we had the baptismal service without power but it was still a great service. It was awesome to perform the ordiance. Its amazing how you can feel the power of God in the ordiances.

Well I hope you all have a wonderfull week. Know that I love you all so much. Thank you for all the support!

Well this week was pretty sweet. We had another baptism! Karen was baptized this week and it was a really good service. Karen comes from a less active family that has been inactive for about 10 years. The mom and one of her younger brothers (who is not a member) came to ther service and all had a great experience. The brother is a pretty cool kid. He said he liked the baptism a lot and he respected the decision of his sister so we will see what happens with that. The only problem is that he plays soccer on the weekends so that keeps him from coming to church. Hopefully we can work with the parents and get all the family active and baptized as well.

Well this week turned out to be a really hard one. But there were a few bright spots where the lord blessed us. We were able to find one of our investigators Omar. He is a really big guy who plays on a rugby team here in Trelew. He pretty much understands and agrees with everything that the missionaries have taught him. The only thing is that he has never prayed about it. But his last visit we were with him we made is a goal that we were not going to leave that house without him praying. So we were very persistant with him and finaly he gave in and said the prayer. He was a little nervous but he was able to get through it and he said he felt good doing it. So hopefully that will be a start for him in gaining a testimony and start the process of conversion with Omar.

The other one was with a couple Diana and Mario. They had been listening to the missionaries for a while but they stoped going by. So we went to check on them to see how they were doing. They let us in really warmly. We talked a lot about the families and gave them a copy of the proclamation to the family. We talked a little bit about family home evening as well and we asked them if they would like if we would do one with them. They said that they would love to so this week we are going to do something fun with them. Hopefully that will help get them going in the gospel.

Well today is Elder Stokes birthday so we are going to Puerto Madryn to celebrate so I don’t have to much time. But I just want to give a shout out to Dad who is turning 50 years old this week! I hope it is a wonderful birthday! I love you all and hope you all have a wonderfull week!

Hello from Trelew!

Well I´m here and settled in in my  new area of Parque 2 in Trelew. Its a pretty sweet area. Definately the most humble. It made me really realize that I have been serving in some pretty rich areas my whole mission. But its a nice and different experience. But anyway, I´ll tell you about the wonderfull week we had!

Alright well I´ll start off with the not so good. So on Monday night I was saying my good-byes and everything and we were with Hno Chemin. He bought some sandwhich meat and he bought some raw bacon pretty much. I was kind of sceptical about it and asked if we were supposed to cook it or not. He said no and then started to eat it. And so then I was like whatever and ate it. It wasn´t too bad but not the best either. So we left to the terminal in Trelew to drop off Elder Yobonolo and to meet up with my new comp and I was not feeling very well at all. So I went to the bathroom and threw it all up right there in the Terminal. So we went to my new apartment and I´ll just say that my first night in Trelew was the worst night of my whole mission. I woke up every hour of the night to throw up. Yup I had food poisoning. It was not very plesant at all. So I was in bed all day on Tuesday. I was deffinatly not a fun transfer haha.

Alright well I will then start with the good. We had a baptism this week!! He name is Janet. Her husband Angelo is a member who is returning to activity and the two had just gotten married two weeks ago. So that was awesome. Elder Ruano said that the had been a little disanimated as of late but we went by on Wednesday and she said that she wanted to be baptized this week. So we were like yeah I think we can do that. So we set up everything really fast and we had a great baptismal service. One of the best things was that on Friday during the interview for Janet the bishop had an interview with Angelo and he was found worthy to baptize and confirm his wife. So that was awesome. It really was a sweet service with all the family of Angelo there (who are active members of the ward). So that was a good way to start off the transfer.

So another good thing is that we are going to have a baptism this week too! Her name is Karen. Her mom is menos activo but Karen is really animated about the church. She is 16 years old and she really likes it. She came to sacrament and she really liked seen the confirmation of Janet. So that is really sweet.

So yeah I´m pretty content with Trelew we have a pretty sweet district. Elder Stokes is my new district leader. It was awesome, I was talking to him about Trevelin and he was telling me a lot about the people that we were seeing and he said that a lot of them are slowly progressing. One of them in particular was Lucas. I don´t know if I mentioned him but he had his own business and was a volunteer firefighter, he was pretty much a copo. We were only able to talk to him a few times in his business. But Elder Stokes said that he is now listening to the missionaries in his house and his wife even cut his hair. He also said that one of the girls we found Alejandra is now going to church. So that was really awesome to hear. Even though I might not have been able to baptize anyone in Trevelin we were able to plant some seeds. And now I can see some fruits of my labors which is awesome.

Well thats about all for this week. I hope you all have a wonderfull week. I love you all!

Beautiful week in Rawson!

Well we sure did have a great week here in Rawson. The weather was wonderful and we also had a lot of sweet things happen with investigators and menos activos.

Well I will start off with a baptism! This week Javier was baptized. It was really sweet even though not a lot of people were able to show up. The service was at 9 in the morning because he had to go straight to work righ after. But it sure was wonderful. One of the things that made it so awesome is that Gustavo Chemin was the one who baptized Javier. It sure was a great thing to see. To see a convert progress as Gustavo has and to see an investigator make that dicision to make a covenant with God. I could tell that Javier really was happy to be doing what he did. It was awesome.

I will also tell you about a menos activo family that we are working with the, Saavedra family. We have been visiting them for about a month now. They have been inactive for about 10 years now. The son who is 26 years old came to play futbol with us on saturday morning with the young men and young adults. So that was really good. And also on Saturday there was a primary activity and the mom and the daughter who is 19 and the youngest son who is 7 all came to the activity. It was sweet, and then on Sunday the daughter and the mom and the youngest son all came to sacrament. That was awesome. We had an awesome testimony meeting and the mom and the daughter were both crying during the whole meeting because the spirit was so strong. She told us that she felt is really stong and wants to return the the church now. So that was really awesome. They all had a wonderfull experience. It was really sweet to see the spirit work on somebody like that. It was just awesome I can´t really describe it.

This week we were also able to find an investigator that Elder Rivera and I had. His name is Ariel and he really progressed well in the past. But one week he came to church and didn´t like it at all and we were not able to find him this whole transfer. But this past week we stopped by his house without calling or anything. He let us in and he told us that one of you coworkers who is member invited him to church. He said that there is no way that that could be a coincidence. So we talked a lot and really helped him out. He came to sacrament and said he liked it. So we will pass by and see how it goes this time around. I’m really excited to work with him again.

Well thats about all I have. I hope you all have a wonderfull week and hopefully my packages come in the coming week. My shoes are really getting bad haha. I love you all and thank you for all the letters this week!
